of Crazy. For just $5k...
It is a 1970 MY. Anyone want to buy a kidney? I’ll sell one of mine for $15k ish...
1970 Corvette project. Been sitting 10 years does not run but engine turns over. Showing 68k miles. Car is complete. Birdcage looks good. Passenger side frame on the kick up in front of the rear wheel is rusted can be repaired. The rest of the frame is scaly but no rust holes. This is a project 1970 Corvette four speed.
I bet the weekend in a Napa parking lot I could get this running.
Update: Underside
Pretty much just scaling and some cosmetic rusting.

I’d bet that has at least 25k in stuff needed to make it “not a beatbox”.

“cosmetic rusting”
I don’t know what the bottom of a C3 is supposed to look like but that looks like a hole to me.

Which wouldn’t leave you too upside down on it and you’d be able to spread out the cash outlay over the course of the project. Of course if you can afford to put out a $30-35k lump for one in good condition that would be the way to go but this might be a fun project.

Oh man. Tempting, but that last picture of the bottom is frightening.

Nah, just a little metal work needed. Especially if they are right about the birdcage being rust free

I bet a lot more will disintegrate when you start fixing it.
I’d be tempter to do it anyways, don’t get me wrong.

I mean it is a really good price for an early C3

It is, especially one with a 4-speed. If you can find another one that’s still rough, bet doesn’t have any holes, you’d probably be ahead money wise spending more on that.

Not out here in CA, rougher ones cost twice as much and that is for a 74 and up

Daaaaaaang! That’s crazy!
You can get a pretty decent 74+ for around $10k around here.

Yeah but those ones are ugly. I would settle for the ‘73 with the metal rear bumper, but ‘74+ I would just rather not have one till the ‘91 C4
